Flow Automation: Bulk Customer Operation – SHOPLINE Help Center

When you manually select specific customers in the Customers section of your admin panel and click More actions > Bulk operate customers, this trigger will start a workflow in the Flow Automation app. This article will help you configure the flow to batch-tag customers, update membership details, and more, making your customer management more efficient.

Notes:

"Bulk operations" apply to existing data (such as products, orders, or customers), allowing you to select multiple records and perform batch actions like tagging or updates.
"Auto-tagging" applies only to newly created items. The system will automatically add tags to new products or customers based on the conditions you’ve set in the workflow. For orders, any existing tags will be overwritten by the new tag.

You can simulate triggering the workflow using the steps below to ensure your setup works as expected:

From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Customers and select the target customers.
Click More actions > Bulk operate customers.
Check whether the trigger works as expected based on the conditions configured in your workflow.

Tag customers as [high-value active customers]: Select existing customers in bulk to trigger this workflow. Customers who have recently spent a high amount will be tagged as [High-value Active Customers]. You can customize tag conditions and tag names.
Tag customers as [dormant high-value customers]: Similarly, trigger this workflow by selecting customer batches. Customers with high total spending but no recent activity will be tagged as [Dormant High-value Customers]. You may modify the criteria and tag names as needed.
