Using USPS with SHOPLINE Shipping (Early Access)
SHOPLINE has partnered with USPS, the official mail and package delivery service of the United States, to simplify the order fulfillment process for SHOPLINE merchants. If you’re shipping from within the United States, you can activate the USPS services directly through your SHOPLINE admin panel and easily ship your packages domestically.
With USPS integrated into SHOPLINE Shipping, you can easily manage your domestic shipments with reliable delivery options and convenient support. Follow the guidelines below to ensure smooth and efficient shipping for your business.

USPS Domestic Shipping Services
You can ship domestically within the United States using the following USPS services:

USPS Domestic Shipping Guidelines
A. Package Requirements
Ensure your parcel meets these USPS requirements:
- Weight limit: 70 lb (31.75 kg)
- Size limit: Length + 2 × (Width + Height) ≤ 108 inches (274 cm)

B. Packaging Guidelines
Prepare your package according to USPS standards:
- Use strong packaging with enough space for cushioning to protect fragile items and prevent shifting.
- Secure all seams with 2-inch-wide packing tape. (Do not wrap boxes with string, cord, or twine, as these can get caught in USPS sorting equipment.)
- When reusing boxes, remove or cover any old logos, barcodes, shipping labels, or addresses.

D. Prohibited Items
USPS does not accept certain items for shipment. Please review the List of Prohibited Items carefully and ensure your parcels do not contain any prohibited items before shipping with USPS.
Dropping Off Your Packages
Self-Drop Off
You can drop off your packages at any USPS location convenient for you. Simply bring your prepared parcels to the post office or designated USPS drop-off points.
Basic Liability Coverage from USPS
USPS provides basic liability coverage for lost or damaged shipments. The coverage amount depends on the shipping service used:
- Priority Mail: Coverage up to $100 USD
- Ground Advantage: Coverage up to $100 USD
If your USPS shipment sent via SHOPLINE Shipping is lost or damaged, you are advised to file a claim with USPS within 7 to 30 days of the shipping date. Please note that submitting a claim does not guarantee compensation.
Calculating USPS Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are determined based on SHOPLINE's account with USPS.

Parcel weight is calculated using either the actual weight or the dimensional (DIM) weight, whichever is greater.
Note: The DIM weight is calculated as: DIM Weight (kg) = (Height × Width × Length) in cm ÷ 6000. - USPS measures both the actual and dimensional weight at their distribution center and charges the shipping fee based on the higher value.
- Special rates apply for shipments sent to military post offices (APO/FPO/DPO) and U.S. overseas territories. For more details, please refer to the Charging Rules on Designated Destinations.
