Setting Up Nextdoor Pixel with SHOPLINE
Nextdoor is now available as a new advertising channel on SHOPLINE. This article will walk you through what Nextdoor is, how to integrate it with your SHOPLINE store, how to configure Nextdoor Pixel (with a note on Conversion API), and recommended strategies for advertising on Nextdoor.
What is Nextdoor?
Nextdoor is a private social network for neighborhoods where local businesses can reach nearby residents with targeted ads. With Nextdoor Ads, you can promote products or services to homeowners, renters, and community members based on location and neighborhood interests.
By integrating Nextdoor with SHOPLINE, you can send conversion events directly to Nextdoor for better ad performance and optimization.
Setting Up Nextdoor Pixel (with Conversion API Note)
- Log in to Nextdoor Ads Manager. Go to Assets > Pixels and Click Create Pixel.
- Set up the Pixel Code and Events, and you will get your Pixel Code under Data Source ID.
| Note: Nextdoor's Conversion API is currently a whitelisted service. You must request access directly from Nextdoor’s official website. SHOPLINE currently does not encourage merchants to use Conversion API for Nextdoor until you have been approved by Nextdoor. If you have been whitelisted and wish to enable server-side tracking, obtain your Access Token and Client ID from Nextdoor support, enter them in the setup modal alongside your Pixel ID, and click Save. |

FAQs About Consent Management
Q1: Does Nextdoor Pixel support TrustArc as a consent management platform (CMP)?
Yes. If your store uses TrustArc as its Consent Management Platform (CMP), SHOPLINE will automatically work with it when reporting data to Nextdoor. Specifically, SHOPLINE listens to TrustArc consent signals and monitors any changes to the user's privacy consent status. Based on those signals, it will activate or deactivate Nextdoor Pixel data reporting accordingly. This means pixel events are only fired when the user has explicitly consented, keeping your store compliant with privacy regulations such as GDPR. No additional configuration is required. As long as TrustArc is set up correctly in your store, the integration is handled automatically.
