Flow Automation: Hiding Products from Storefront – SHOPLINE Help Center

Hiding products from your store will make them invisible to customers. You can automate this action using Flow Automation to streamline product lifecycle management.

Notes:

This article focuses on using the Hide Product action, which applies only to existing products. You can also use Flow Automation to hide specific SKUs in batch or to hide products based on inventory or creation date.
The Hide Product action always applies at the product level — it hides the entire product, including all of its variants (SKUs). SHOPLINE does not currently offer a native way to hide a single out-of-stock SKU while keeping the rest of the product visible: even when you use a SKU as a matching condition (for example, in the template below), the SKU is only used to identify which product to hide, and the action still hides that product as a whole. Before setting up a workflow to manage out-of-stock SKUs, confirm that hiding the entire product is the outcome you want.

Tip:

To check a product’s current status before or during a workflow (for example, to confirm whether it’s already hidden), add a Check if condition step using the Product status parameter from the View product details.

Example Use Case

Here’s a real-world example of using the Bulk operate products trigger — When a merchant selects products in bulk that match specific SKUs, the system will automatically hide those products. This helps streamline product listing management and visibility (available in product templates):

Automatically hiding low-inventory products: Triggered when inventory changes reduce a product’s stock below a defined threshold. The product is automatically hidden and staff are notified via email.
Scheduled bulk hiding for a product collection: Set conditions for the first trigger time and recurrence. Hide products created after a certain date within a specified category.

Note: Each batch supports up to 100 products.
Bulk hiding products with specific SKUs: After selecting existing products in the admin panel, hide the products that contain SKUs matching preset criteria. This hides the entire product, not just the matching SKU.

Note: Supports up to 20 products per batch.
Bulk hiding products by creation date: After selecting products in bulk, hide those created on specified dates. Merchants can modify the date filters.
