Using FedEx with SHOPLINE Shipping
SHOPLINE has partnered with FedEx, a leading international express delivery company based in the United States, to make order fulfillment easier for merchants. If you’re shipping from within the U.S., you can activate SHOPLINE Shipping to connect with FedEx services directly in your SHOPLINE admin panel and ship packages domestically with ease.
With FedEx integrated into SHOPLINE Shipping, you can streamline your shipping process, manage domestic orders more efficiently, and rely on trusted delivery services with convenient support. Follow the guidelines below to get started and ensure a smooth shipping experience for your business.
Considerations for Shipping Packages with FedEx
When using SHOPLINE Shipping with FedEx, keep the following in mind:

PO Box destinations are not supported.

Pickups are currently unavailable.

Address correction, signature proof of delivery, and scheduled delivery services are not available for FedEx Ground Economy.
FedEx Domestic Shipping Services
You can ship domestically within the United States using the following FedEx services:

FedEx Domestic Shipping Guidelines
A. Package Requirements
Packages shipped with FedEx Ground Economy must meet these requirements:
- Maximum weight: 70 lb (31 kg)
- Maximum single dimension: 60 in (152 cm) on any side
- Maximum length and girth combined: 130 in (330 cm)
Packages shipped with FedEx Ground must meet these requirements:
- Maximum weight: 150 lb (68 kg)
- Maximum single dimension: 108 in (274 cm) on any side
- Maximum length and girth combined: 165 in (419 cm)
B. Packaging Guidelines
Prepare your package according to FedEx standards:
- Use strong packaging with enough space for cushioning to protect fragile items and prevent shifting.
- Put at least six strips of shipping tape, each at least 2" wide, evenly across all flaps and seams, top and bottom.
- When reusing boxes, remove all old labels and ensure they are high quality, with no holes, tears, or dents.

C. Prohibited Items
FedEx does not accept dangerous or restricted items for shipment. Please review the list of prohibited items carefully and ensure your parcels do not contain any prohibited items before shipping with FedEx.
Dropping Off Your Packages
Pickups are not available with FedEx. You can drop off your packages at any FedEx location convenient for you.
Return Label Validity and Cancellation
Return labels may expire if not used for a period of time after creation. To avoid resource waste from invalid labels, any label not used within 25 days of creation will be automatically canceled. If you still need to arrange a return, create a new return label and remind your customer to ship the package within 25 days.
Basic Liability Coverage from FedEx
A. Lost and Damaged Shipments
FedEx provides basic liability coverage for lost or damaged shipments. The coverage amount depends on the shipping service used:
- FedEx Ground Economy: Coverage up to $100 USD
- FedEx Ground: Coverage up to $100 USD
If your FedEx shipment sent via SHOPLINE Shipping is lost or damaged, you are advised to file a claim with FedEx within 7 to 30 days of the shipping date. Please note that submitting a claim does not guarantee compensation.
| Note: Shipments sent using FedEx Ground Economy that are lost or damaged while in FedEx custody or marked as delivered on the carrier's tracking website are not eligible for a claim. |
B. Late Shipments
If your FedEx shipment is late and you want to track the package and file a claim, you must submit your claim request to FedEx within 12 days of the shipping date, the date the package was dropped off with FedEx.

Calculating FedEx Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are determined based on SHOPLINE's account with FedEx.

Parcel weight is calculated using either the actual weight or the dimensional (DIM) weight, whichever is greater.
Note: The DIM weight is calculated as: DIM Weight (kg) = (Height × Width × Length) in cm ÷ 8000. - FedEx measures both the actual and dimensional weight at its distribution center and charges the shipping fee based on the higher value..
