Connecting Awin to SHOPLINE for Affiliate Marketing

Awin is one of the world’s top affiliate marketing platforms. It connects advertisers with partners like content sites, comparison platforms, and influencers to drive traffic and conversions. Operating across multiple global markets, Awin offers a large network of active partners and performance-based pricing, making it an important traffic source for independent brands beyond Google and Facebook.

With the SHOPLINE Awin app, you can quickly connect your Awin account without writing any code. Follow this guide to connect your Awin account to SHOPLINE and start tracking affiliate conversions.

 

 

How to Connect Your Awin Account

Step 1: Get Your Advertiser ID

  1. Log in to your Awin dashboard.

  2. Go to Support > Tracking Installation Guide.

  3. Select Directly on my website.

  4. Click Next to the Master Tag step and click Copy code to copy the tracking code.

Step 2: Integrate Awin in SHOPLINE

  1. Go to the SHOPLINE App Store and install the Awin app.

  2. Open the app and paste the code you copied from Awin, then click Save.

  3. After saving, return to Awin and click Place an order in the Test Tracking step to create a test order. Once the test order is successful, follow Awin’s instructions and click Next to confirm the test result.

Extra Features (Early Access)

Enter Awin API Token

After successfully binding your Awin account, go to the Extra features page to enter your Awin API Token. This will enable Auto-validate synced order status and Auto-sync Product Feeds.

To enter your API token:

  1. Log in to Awin and go to Personal Account > API Credentials.
  2. Find the OAuth 2 Token and copy it.

Auto-validate synced order status

The Auto-validate synced order status feature automatically approves orders on the Awin platform after the set Returns Period (for example, 30 days). If the order is not canceled or returned within this period, the system will automatically confirm the transaction without any manual action.

To enable Auto-validate synced order status:

  1. Enable Auto-validate synced order status.
  2. Set Refund/Return Period: enter a value between 1–90.
    • If the customer does not cancel or return the order within the set period, the order will be automatically approved on Awin.
  3. Click Save to activate.
Note: Once Auto-validate synced order status is enabled, SHOPLINE order status will sync to Awin every day, ensuring transaction data is updated promptly.

 

Auto-sync Product Feeds

The Auto-sync Product Feeds feature automatically syncs your product information to Awin, ensuring partners always have the latest product data.

To enable Auto-sync Product Feeds:

  1. Enable Auto-sync Product Feeds.
  2. Set Default Product Language.
  3. Set Primary Region.
  4. Click Save to activate.
Note: Make sure the language and region settings are correct before saving, otherwise product information sync may be affected.

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I migrate from ShareASale to Awin?

First, bind your Awin account in your SHOPLINE store and confirm the connection. Then uninstall the ShareASale app. After uninstalling, the app will automatically unbind; no extra steps needed.
Data migration from ShareASale to Awin is handled by Awin. Please refer to Awin’s official guide.

 

2. What if my Awin account is already linked to another store domain?

You can install the Awin app in your new store and complete the binding. Then update the domain in Awin to match your new store (the tracking code will be installed after binding).
Alternatively, you can contact Awin support to change the domain.

 

3. How is the Awin affiliate order amount calculated?

SHOPLINE sends Awin the actual amount paid by the customer. This amount does not include taxes or shipping fees, which can help reduce commission costs.

 

4. Can I change the Awin account linked to my SHOPLINE store?

Yes. Simply enter a new Awin account ID in the SHOPLINE Awin app and save.

 

5. Can one store link to multiple Awin accounts? Can one Awin account link to multiple stores?

No. One store can only link to one Awin account, and one Awin account can only link to one store. This is Awin’s official limitation.

 

6. What if Awin doesn’t receive the test order?

Try placing a test order using Cash on Delivery (COD) to verify the tracking.
