Sales by Date Range

| Dimension | Explanation |
| Hour | The time when the order was successfully created or when the order was edited. The system will automatically attribute the order to the hour of the transaction. For example, if the customer successfully created an order at 10:30 and 10:59 on January 1, 2023, and these two orders are recorded in the report at 10:00 on January 1, 2023. The following time terms are also processed according to the same logic. |
| Day | The date when the order was successfully created or when the order was edited. For example: January 1, 2023. |
| Week |
The date when the order was successfully created or edited is attributed to the Monday of that week. You can use this dimension to summarize metrics by week. For example, a customer completed an order on January 1, 2023, and Monday of the week of January 1, 2023 is December 26, 2022. When you summarize the sales order amount or other metrics by the Week dimension, the order data will be attributed to the week of December 26, 2022. |
| Month |
The date when an order was successfully created or edited. You can use this dimension to summarize metrics by month. For example: January 1, 2023 is recorded as January 2023. |
| Quarter |
The date when an order is successfully created or edited is displayed in the format of the first month of each quarter. You can use this dimension to summarize metrics by quarter. For example: January 1, 2023 is recorded as January 2023. |
| Year |
The date when an order was successfully created or edited. You can use this dimension to summarize the metrics by year. For example, January 1, 2023 is recorded as 2023. |
| An hour of a day |
By capturing the hour when an order is successfully created or an order is edited, you can use this dimension to observe the hourly characteristics of the data. Based on this dimension, you might find that sales peak around 10 AM over a certain period. |
| A day of a week |
By converting the date when an order is successfully created or an order is edited into a week, you can use this dimension to observe the weekly characteristics of the data. Based on this dimension, you may find that sales on Sundays are significantly higher than other days over a certain period. |
| A month of a year |
By capturing the month when an order is successfully created or an order is edited, you can use this dimension to observe the monthly characteristics of the data. Based on this dimension, you may find that sales in December are significantly higher than other months over a certain period. |

Sales by Product Collection
This report shows sales by product collections, and this report can help you see which product collections have the highest sales. In cases where a product belongs to multiple collections, the report will display multiple rows and record the sales for each order under the respective collections. It is worth noting that the product collection information is recorded according to the product collection at the time of order.
Example: On August 1, when Product A was ordered, it was classified as Collection 1. On August 2, the smart categorization system reclassified Product A as Collection 2. When the customer purchases Product A again on August 2, its collection will be recognized as Collection 2. (However, when querying the product collection for August 1, it will still display as Collection 1.)
Commodity Tax and Freight Tax on Tax-Inclusive Prices
In other sales reports, when you set taxes and enable the All Prices Include Tax option, the commodity tax and shipping tax will be calculated as zero because these taxes have been recorded in the selling price (that is, recorded in the Subtotal).
To help you understand the tax-included price of each order, SHOPLIONE shows you the commodity tax on the tax-inclusive price and freight tax on the tax-inclusive price of the order in the Commodity Tax on the Tax-Inclusive Price report.
It should be noted that the time of this report is based on the time when the order is successfully created, that is, the amount changes caused by operations such as order editing, refund, or cancellation will be uniformly attributed to the order creation completion time.
The common metrics used in the report are as follows:
| Metric | Definition |
| Subtotal | Equals Product price × Quantity of items. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Discounted Amount | The amount deducted after applying a coupon code entered by the customer or any manual discounts created by you. For calculation of the discounted amount, it is apportioned based on the proportion of the subtotal of a product to the subtotal of all products. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Commodity Tax | Tax calculated based on the order. If you select All prices include tax in the tax settings, the commodity tax is zero as tax is already included in the Subtotal. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Commodity Tax (Tax-Inclusive Price) |
Commodity tax on the tax-inclusive price is calculated based on the order. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. If you checked All Prices Include Tax when setting taxes. On January 1, your store sold $100 of goods, and the shipping fee was $20. A certain state in the United States charges a 13% commodity tax and a 5% shipping tax, so the commodity tax (price including tax) = 100 * 13 % = $13; Product Tax = $0. |
| Shipping fees | Shipping fees calculated based on the order. If the order is placed in a "Free shipping" promotion, the product's shipping fee will be zero. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Tip | Tips received from the order. If there is no tip on the order, the tip amount for the product will show as zero. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Shipping Tax | Tax associated with shipping from the order. Taxes are imposed on shipping fees when products are sold to certain countries/regions. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Freight Tax (Tax-Inclusive Price) |
Commodity tax on the tax-inclusive price is calculated based on the order. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. If you checked All prices include tax when setting taxes. On January 1, your store sold $100 of goods, and the shipping fee was $20. A certain state in the United States charges a 13% commodity tax and a 5% shipping tax, so the shipping tax (tax included) = 20 * 5 % = $1; shipping tax = $0. |
| Points Deduction | The amount deducted from the total payment when members use points for payment. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Total Order Amount |
Total order amount = Subtotal - Discount Amount + Commodity Tax + Shipping + Shipping Tax + Tip + Duty - Points Deduction They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
| Rounding Adjustment Amount | In some international markets, stores have the Rounding Rule setting enabled, requiring consideration of rounding standards for order amounts. This metric ensures accuracy and standardization of numbers. They are counted based on the time when an order is successfully created. |
