Bulk Edit Product Information in Smart Feed (New) (For Google & Meta)

Smart Feed (New) now supports bulk editing of product information via templates, helping merchants efficiently manage product lists for advertising and quickly sync updates to channels such as Google Merchant Center and Meta.

With this feature, you can update large batches of products at once, such as adding labels or modifying titles, significantly improving product management and ad operation efficiency.

Applicable Scope

• Available only in Smart Feed 2.0 (New)
• Supported channels:
  • Google
  • Meta
• Editing level: SKU-level products only
• Scope of effect: Changes apply only to the selected channel’s feed

Use Cases

You can use the bulk edit feature when you need to:

• Select products in bulk for ad testing.
• Add labels to products (e.g., bestsellers, new arrivals, campaign items).
• Optimize product titles or descriptions in bulk.
• Quickly sync product updates to Google or Meta ad channels.

Bulk editing product

• Go to Smart Feed > Product Management > Select Channel (Google / Meta) > Submitted > Bulk Edit.
• Click Bulk Edit, then select Download Template to obtain the standard template file.

Fill in the Template

Open the template locally and enter the product information to be updated.

1. Required Field

• id (Product ID)
  • Used to match products
  • Must be the SKU ID already synced to the channel
    (e.g., Google product ID or Meta content ID)

2. Optional Fields

You may update the following fields as needed:

• title
• description
• image_link_number (main image index)
• color
• size
• custom_label_0 ~ custom_label_4

3. Field Rules

• Leave blank:  Keep the original value
• Enter a value: Overwrite the existing value
• Enter {{#empty}}: Clear the existing value

Example:

After import:

• SKU001: Title remains unchanged, label is cleared, main image switches to image #2
• SKU002: Title updates to “New Dress”, label updates, main image remains unchanged (if image #99 does not exist)

Uploading File

Return to the Bulk Edit pop-up and click Import to upload the completed file.

• Only .csv format is supported
• Maximum file size: 2MB
• If the file is too large, please split it into multiple uploads

Validation & Processing

The system will automatically validate the file, including:

• File format and size
• Whether product IDs exist or are duplicated
• Whether ID format is valid

If validation fails, the system will indicate the exact rows with errors. Please correct them and re-upload.

Check Processing Results

After upload, a batch task will be created. You can track progress in Bulk Import Records.

Task Status:

• Pending
• Processing
• Completed / Failed
• Completed: Task finished (may include partial failures)
• Failed: Task encountered system errors (rare)

Important Notes

• If some products fail, you can export the failed product ID list for troubleshooting.
• The id must exactly match the product ID in the selected channel feed.
• Each upload creates a separate task; we recommend managing files in batches.
• Imported data has higher priority than SHOPLINE product data (will not be overwritten).
• If no products match, the task will still show as “Completed” with 0 successful updates
• Scientific notation (e.g., 1.23E+10) is not supported for IDs.
