Smart Search Recommendation is an app that leverages advanced technology to enhance your in-store search experiences. It provides intelligent product recommendations and keyword services, ensuring precise search results and supplementary content for your customers. Moreover, it allows presetting popular keywords and products in the search bar for better engagement, satisfaction, and conversions.

Installing the App
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps.
- Search for Smart Search Recommendation and click on the app.
- Click Install to authorize and complete the installation process.
Selecting Content for Recommendations
Once installed, the Smart Search Recommendation app automatically activates intelligent search and product recommendations on your store. As customers search, they'll see relevant suggestions. The app also starts collecting data to further refine recommendations over time.
To customize the content of search recommendations, go to the Recommendation content tab.
Setting Up Default Search Items
The Smart Search Recommendation app allows you to set default recommended collections and/or products that appear when customers click the search bar. This enhances the shopping experience by providing relevant suggestions and streamlining the search process.
Configuring Default Recommended Collections
- Go to the Pre-search recommendations tab, find the Default recommended search terms section, and click Create a recommended search term.
- Enter a search term and click Select the collection to link the term to to select the corresponding collection. Click + Recommended search terms to add up to ten recommended collections.
- Select the desired collection from the list and click Select.
- Click Update to save your changes.
- If you need to delete a collection, simply click the trash icon next to it.
Configuring Default Recommended Products
- Go to the Pre-search recommendations tab, find the Default recommended products section, and click Add a recommended product.
- In the pop-up window, select the desired products for recommendation. You can use filters to narrow your search and add up to five recommended products. Once you have made your selections, click Add.
- Click Update to save your changes.
- If you need to manage the added products, hover over their images to reveal options for deletion or replacement.
Configuring Advanced Settings
In addition to configuring default search items, the app offers several advanced features to enhance the search experience and precision for your customers. You can find these features in the Search range tab and the Filter conditions tab.
Search Range
- Search settings: This feature allows you to specify which items are included in the search scope and determine what content appears in the search results.
- Product promotion: With this feature, you can assign search terms to prioritize certain products at the top of the search results.
- Synonyms: Create synonym groups using this feature to help customers find related products easily, even when they use different terms or synonyms for their search queries.
- Keyword redirection: Use this feature to redirect customers to a predefined web page or resource when they enter specific keywords or key phrases in your store's search bar.
- Recommended products for "No Results Found" page: Once enabled, this feature automatically recommends custom products with the highest potential conversion rate when no search results are found for the customer's query.
Filter Conditions
This feature provides a convenient way for customers to search for their preferred products using predefined filters. To customize which filters are displayed in your store, access the Filter conditions tab and click Add filter. This enables your customers to conduct selective searches.
By using these predefined filters, customers can swiftly refine their product searches, saving time and ensuring they find precisely what they're looking for with ease and accuracy.

Analyzing Search Performance Data
From the moment you install the app, the system will automatically begin collecting data on customers' search behaviors for analysis. We encourage you to leverage this data to improve your settings and enhance the overall search experience.
To access and review the data, simply go to the Overview tab. Here, you'll find data on Search Performance Metrics and Popular Intelligent Recommended Terms, allowing you to gain valuable insights into your customers' search patterns and preferences.
In the Search Performance Metrics section, you can view the click-through rate and purchase rate for Suggested keywords, Preset keywords, Suggested products, and Preset products and determine how they contribute to your product searches. See below for their definitions.
In the Popular Intelligent Recommended Terms section, you can learn which search terms your customers are more likely to use in their search, which in turn helps you optimize your operations.
