Wishlist: Managing Back-in-Stock Export Permissions
The Users and permissions page in the Wishlist app lets you control which staff accounts can export your back-in-stock subscriber list. Since this data includes customer contact details such as email addresses and phone numbers, restricting export access helps protect sensitive customer information from unnecessary exposure and supports compliance with applicable data protection regulations, such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This guide explains how to access the Users and permissions page, review your store's manager list, and manage each manager's export permission.
Accessing the Users and Permissions Page
To access the Users and permissions page:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Wishlist.
-
Click Settings, then select Users and permissions.
Understanding the Users and Permissions Page
The Users and Permissions page consists of two sections: the store owner's account and the manager list.
- Store owner's account: Displays the store owner's account information. The store owner always has Export permission, and this permission cannot be disabled.
- Manager list: Displays all manager accounts in the store (deleted accounts are not shown). Each row shows the manager's Name, Manager account, and Export permission toggle. The list displays up to 100 managers per page.
Managing Manager Export Permissions
To turn a manager's export permission on or off:
- From the Users and permissions page, locate the manager whose permission you want to change.
-
Click the Export permission toggle for that manager to turn it on or off.

How Export Permission Affects the Alert Subscribers Page
Export permission determines whether a manager can export your back-in-stock subscriber list from the Alert subscribers page.
- If a manager has export permission, the Export option is shown on the Alert subscribers page.
- If a manager doesn't have export permission, the Export option is hidden.
| Note: If a manager's export permission is turned off while they have the export window open, the export is blocked and an error message is shown when they click Export. |
