Connecting Claude to Your SHOPLINE Store – SHOPLINE Help Center

The SHOPLINE Connector lets you connect your store to Claude. Once connected, you can manage your store directly by chatting with Claude. For example, bulk-edit products, search orders, or review your store's performance data without opening the SHOPLINE Admin.

This article covers how to install and connect the SHOPLINE Connector, set permissions, and use Claude to manage your store in common scenarios.

Before You Connect the SHOPLINE Connector

The SHOPLINE Connector is available on all store plans. Before you begin, make sure of the following:

You're the store owner with admin permissions for your store so you can complete the app authorization.
You have Claude installed, or you're already logged in (desktop or web).

Installing and Connecting the SHOPLINE Connector

Follow these steps to install and connect the SHOPLINE Connector:

Open Claude and go to Customize > Connectors > Discover.
Search for SHOPLINE and click Connect to Claude.
Once it's installed, click Connect.
On the page that opens, select the store you want to install the connector to.
Your store will be linked to the SHOPLINE Claude app. Check I have read and agree to the relevant privacy policy, then click Authorize and Install.
Once installation is complete, you'll see the Connected screen. Click Open desktop app.
Claude will automatically take you to the Tool permissions page. Set the permission level for each tool based on what you want Claude to be able to do, such as looking up products, creating products, or looking up orders:
- Allow: Claude can act directly.
- Needs approval: You must confirm before the action is performed.
- Deny: Claude isn't allowed to use this tool.
Once permissions are set, you can manage your store directly by chatting with Claude. For example, you can tell Claude: "Show me last week's orders," "Bulk-update inventory for a specific product," "Find unshipped orders," or "Analyze recent sales trends and store performance." Claude reads your store data directly and shows the results in the conversation.
