Affiliate Marketing: Understanding the Analytics Page
The Analytics page is the main performance dashboard in the Affiliate Marketing. It helps you track visitors, orders, commissions, and other performance data generated through your affiliate channel. You can view key performance metrics, trends, and affiliate-level data, and select a date range to analyze performance over a specific period.
This article introduces the key metrics, trend chart, affiliate data, data export options, date range rules, and data update frequency available on the Analytics page.

Accessing the Analytics Page
- From your SHOPLINE Admin, go to Apps and open Affiliate Marketing.

From the left sidebar of the Affiliate Marketing, click Analytics.
- On the Analytics page, you can view performance metrics, data trends, and affiliate data. You can also select a date range or export data as needed.
Understanding Key Performance Metrics
The Analytics page displays the following performance metrics:
- Visitors: The number of unique visitors who visit your store through affiliate links or enter affiliate discount codes.
- Page views: The total number of page views generated by visitors who visit your store through affiliate links or enter affiliate discount codes.
- Referral orders: The number of successfully placed affiliate orders.
- Order amount: The total amount of successfully placed affiliate orders.
- Commissions: The commissions generated from affiliate orders approved by your store.
- Add-to-cart rate: The percentage of affiliate visitors who add products to their carts.
- Conversion rate: The percentage of affiliate visitors who complete checkout.
- New affiliates: The number of new affiliate applicants.
Viewing Performance Data and Trends
You can use the date selector at the top of the Analytics page to set the date range for the data you want to view. By default, Today is selected.

Click the date selector at the top of the page.

In the date selection panel, do either of the following:
- Select a preset date range, such as Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last month, or Last year.
- Manually select a date range in the Starting and Ending fields.
- Click Apply to apply the selected date range. The performance metrics and trend chart on the page update based on the selected date range.
| Note: When selecting dates manually, you can query a maximum date range of 366 days at a time. To view data spanning more than 366 days, split the period into multiple date ranges and query them separately. |
Viewing Affiliate Data
The Affiliate data table at the bottom of the Analytics page displays performance data for each affiliate within the selected date range.
The table includes the following fields:
- Affiliate: The affiliate's name.
- Shares: The number of times the affiliate shares a referral link or discount code.
- Page views: The number of page views generated through the affiliate's referral links or discount codes.
- Visitors: The number of unique visitors generated through the affiliate's referral links or discount codes.
- Add-to-cart orders: The number of orders generated by the affiliate in which products were added to the cart.
- Paid orders: The number of orders generated by the affiliate that were successfully paid.
- Average order value: The average value of orders generated by the affiliate.
- Commission: The amount of commission generated by the affiliate.
- ROI: The return on investment generated by the affiliate.

Exporting Analytics Data
To export data from the Analytics page for offline analysis:

Click Export in the upper-right corner of the page.

From the dropdown menu, select the data you want to export:
- Conversion analytics: Exports the data corresponding to the performance metrics and trend chart.
- Affiliate data: Exports the data corresponding to the affiliate data table.

You can query a maximum date range of 366 days at a time on the Analytics page.
Q2: How can I view historical data spanning more than 366 days?
Manually adjust the start and end dates to split the period into multiple date ranges of no more than 366 days each. You can then query each period separately and consolidate or compare the results as needed.
