Instruction-Sign in to the online shop via LINE
Step 1
Log in to LINE developer and click [LINE Login] > [Start now] then log in by using personal LINE account or company's LINE account.
Step 2: Enter Name and Email address
Enter your "Name" and"Email address", and check "I have read and agreed to the LINE Developers Agreement", then click Confirm. You can edit "Register", "Name" and "Email address" later.
Step 3: Click "Create New Provider"
Click Create and enter "shopline" with all in lower case in the "Provider name" field, then click "Create".
*Note: Please make sure that you enter "shopline" in all lower case since it will be the provider's name, the upper case may lead to some errors as shown below:
Step 4: Click "Create a LINE Login channel" in LINE Login column.
You should upload an online picture (or Store's Logo), enter "Channel name" and "Channel description". This information will be displayed so that customers can see them on the page when registering through LINE. You can edit again after saving, but please make sure that there's no blank space between the channel name, otherwise there will be an error when you save it.
Check both boxes of "WEB app" and "Mobile app" in the "App types (can select more than one) ", then enter Email address at the column below and check "I have read and agree to LINE Developers Agreement" and click "Create".
*Note: "Privacy policy URL" and "Terms of use URL" below the Email address are optional, you can leave them blank.
Step 5: Enter the provider with name as shopline, and click the Channel you have just built.
Step 6: Confirm the setting information
After entering the Channel information page, you must make sure 3 things on the Basic Settings page to avoid errors.
- Find "Channel ID" and "Channel secret" and copy paste them in the column respectively. Please make sure those values are correct so that customers will not see a 400 error page when they log in/register with their LINE accounts.
On the Shopline admin panel, click [Apps] > [Apps Store] > [Line]
Click on "Use now", enter the configuration page:
Click on "Connect",
- Find "App types" and make sure both "Mobile app" and "Web app" are displayed on the page.
When completed, the former "unapplied" will be updated as "Applied".
*If this column still shows as unapplied, your customers will see an error when they use LINE for login/register at your store's website, and they will be unable to complete the login/register for your store's membership.
However, customers may still see this error even if the column displays "applied". This means the customers LINE accounts haven't linked to their Email addresses in which you will need to ask them to use mobile LINE app and proceed to [Settings] > [My accounts] then enter their emails in the "Email Address" column.
3. Find [OpenID Connect] > [Email address permission] then you will see the default setting as "Unapplied". Click "Apply", and check the two options shown as below, then upload the screenshot of the "Store's Privacy Policies (Inform Customers when Using Their Email Addresses)
and click "Submit".
Once it is completed, the former "Unapplied" will be updated as "Applied".
*If this column still shows as "Unapplied", your customers will see the error below when they use LINE for login/register at your store's website, and they will be unable to complete the login/register for your store's membership.
However, customers may still see this error even if the column displays "applied". This means the customers LINE accounts haven't linked to their Email addresses which means you will need to ask them to use the mobile LINE app and enter [Settings] > [My accounts] then enter their emails in the "Email Address" column.
Step 7: Copy and Paste Callback URL
Copy Callback URL in SHOPLINE ADMIN, then enter the "LINE Login" page, find the "Edit" button below [Web app] > [Callback URL] and paste the URL into this column, then click "Update".
If this step is not completed, customers will see a 400 error page when they use LINE account for login/register.
Step 8: Update as "Published"
You can see the status as "Developing" at the upper right corner of the page, then click "Publish", the status will be updated as "Published".
When you've completed the steps above and the "Sign in the online shop via LINE" has been turned on, your customers will be able to see the "Login with LINE" button at the Login/register page for you store.
