Sending Records
Every SMS message sent will be recorded in Sending records. After sending an SMS message, you can check the status of the message and filter records by mobile number, status, notification scenario, and start/end time.
Failed message records are usually a result of insufficient SMS balance. To resend the failed message, top up your account, then click the Resend button next to the corresponding message in the Sending records area.
Overview of SMS Billing
Valid Billing Determination
After submitting a message, the carrier will conduct a basic validity check on the mobile numbers to exclude any incorrect or fixed-line phone numbers. The message will then be forwarded to the telecom operator, with corresponding information fees being charged.
Rules for Calculating the Length of SMS Content
- SMS message length = Number of characters in the signature + Number of characters in the body.
- Each message must not exceed 500 characters.
Note: You can choose whether to include a signature when sending SMS messages internationally, or to Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. In certain countries or regions with strict regulations, random signatures may be included. -
Pure English SMS message:
- SMS messages of 160 words or less will be billed as a single SMS message.
- Messages exceeding 160 words will be considered long messages and billed as separate messages, each with a limit of 153 words.
- For example, if a message is 320 characters long, it will be divided into three separate messages for billing purposes, with character counts of 153/153/14.
Note: In the GSM standard, each standard character is counted as one word, while each extended character is counted as two words.
- Non-pure English SMS message:
-
- SMS messages of 70 words or less will be billed as a single SMS message.
- Messages exceeding 70 words will be considered long messages and billed as separate messages, each with a limit of 67 words.
- For example, if a message is 150 characters long, it will be divided into three separate messages for billing purposes, with character counts of 67/67/16.
-
Billing method
- International SMS messages are billed per message based on the specific content length.
- Prepaid SMS packages are available for both global and regional usage.
- Once a package is purchased, the SMS usage will be deducted from the balance according to actual consumption. The deduction will prioritize the region-specific package over the global package.
SMS Packages
SMS packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The regional package quota will be deducted first, followed by the global package quota.
- The global SMS package enables you to send SMS messages to 212 countries or regions worldwide.
- The regional SMS package is exclusively for sending SMS messages within the designated region.
- For example, if you buy a regional package for Thailand, the package quota can only be used to deduct message usage from numbers registered with a residential address in Thailand.
SMS Cost Billing
After each purchase, SHOPLINE will generate a billing for you. You can view the detailed transaction information of your store in the Purchase record area of the My SMS app.
Balance Reminder
- You will receive a notification when the available balance of your package drops below a certain number of messages.
- If you have insufficient balance, you will not be able to send messages. To continue using the service, purchase a package with a sufficient message balance.
- We send reminders at the following time nodes:
-
