Auto Add Gifts

 

You can set the gifts to be "automatically added" to gift campaigns, and the gifts will be automatically added to the shopping cart by default. You can also choose to automatically add gifts on the checkout page by enabling the option.

Notes before Setting up

Before setting Automatically add gifts, review the following considerations:

  • If you set the method of adding gifts to Automatically add gifts, by default, it supports automatically adding gifts to the shopping cart and automatically offering gifts on the checkout page. Customers can also automatically add gifts by clicking Buy now directly on the product detail page.
  • Customers can't change or manually select the gift(s) given by the system. If you want customers to be able to select gifts, please use the feature of Manually select.
  • When you set Automatically add gifts, the gift(s) will be automatically added to the shopping cart or checkout page when the customer adds items to the cart or checkout page and the gift conditions are met.
  • If you set multiple gifts for the free gift campaign, the system will automatically add the first valid SKU under each gift SPU according to campaign settings, until the number of gifts in the cart reaches the number of gifts that the customer should get. Assume that the free gift campaign is set to get 2 gifts for 4 pieces, and the gifts are set to product A (including SKU a1 and SKU a2) and product B (including SKU b1 and SKU b2). When the products purchased meet the requirements, the system will automatically add SKU a1 of product A and SKU b1 of product B to the cart or the checkout page.
  • Suppose you set stackable tiers for the free gift campaign. In that case, the gift will be automatically added in order according to the above-mentioned add-on rules, until the number of gifts in the shopping cart or checkout page reaches the number that the customer should receive.
  • When automatically adding gifts, you can hide the gift banner in the cart, so that the corresponding activity won't display the gift banner in the shopping cart. When all free gift campaign banners are hidden in your cart, an automatic discount campaign banner will be displayed in your cart.

Notes:

  • If the campaign is enabled, the gift will be automatically included. However, if the customer finalizes the order payment before the cart or checkout page displays the gift, it won't be added to the order.
  • Gifts added automatically to the cart or checkout page will be removed if they become invalid. For OS 2.1 themes, invalid gifts won't be automatically removed if no gift campaign is active. Customers can remove them manually at checkout.

 


 

Automatically Adding Gifts

Access: Go to the Apps tab and search for Free Gift app > Campaign list > Create free gift.

In the Method of adding gifts section: 

  • When you set up a free gift campaign, you can choose Automatically add gifts, and then the system will automatically add the gift to the cart.
    When you check Automatically add gifts, you will see the Automatically add gifts to checkout option. If you select this option, customers will also be able to match the qualifying gifts within the checkout page.
  • When you check the Automatically add gifts option, you can choose whether to hide the gift banner in the shopping cart from Custom style - Shopping cart.
