Setting Up Custom Currency Formats for Your Store – SHOPLINE Help Center

SHOPLINE custom currency format feature supports customization of currency display formats for 150 different currencies worldwide. This feature not only allows you to customize the display of currencies on your store pages according to local preferences, enhancing the local customer experience but also provides a clearer representation of the amount of information on the checkout page. This article will guide you on how to set up the custom currency format.

Understanding Custom Currency Formats

Your store has two different currency formats, and below are the formats and their applicable ranges:

Format name	Applicable to
Format with currency code	Online store, notification, and SHOPLINE admin panel
Format without currency code	Online store, notification, and SHOPLINE admin panel

Setting up a Custom Format

Enabling Custom Format

From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Basic Settings > Payment currency, and enable the Custom currency format. Once enabled, you can utilize the custom currency format for displaying currencies.

Note: After enabling custom currency formatting, please refresh your store to view the updated settings.

Editing Custom Format

Click the Edit format butt Group 3.png on to enter the Edit currency format pop-up.

You can customize the currency format according to your needs. Please note that once you enable the custom format, the settings take effect within the applicable scope.

Notes:

Scroll up and down internally to view and edit all currency formats.
If you haven't made any edits, you can't save the changes.
After saving your edits, please refresh your store to view the updated settings.

Amount Reference Table

Click the Notice button in the upper right corner of the pop-up to display the Amount Reference Table provided by SHOPLINE. You can refer to this table and make modifications according to your needs. Please note that the final display is based on the custom format you input.

Disabling Custom Currency Format

To disable the custom currency format, perform the following steps:

From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Basic Settings > Payment currency, and disable the Custom currency format.

Note: When you disable the custom format, your historical configuration data is preserved, but it does not take effect on your store pages, and your store adopts the system's default currency format instead of your custom format.
