To help merchants easily claim the ownership of their store domains in Meta, SHOPLINE develops and provides you with a quick verification solution. About Domain Verification
Completing domain verification allows you to manage the editing permissions over your links and content to help prevent misuse of your domain and ensure only trusted staff and partners represent your business.
Meta provides 3 ways to verify your domain:
- Add a meta tag to your domain's home page.
- Upload an HTML file to your web directory and confirm ownership of your domain in Business Manager.
- Add a DNS TXT entry to your DNS record to confirm ownership of your domain.
Currently, SHOPLINE uses the first method (adding Meta tags to the domain homepage) to help you complete domain verification.
Automatic Verification
After you complete the asset authorization for the Data tracking, Shop, and Customer management modules in your SHOPLINE admin panel > Facebook channel, the system automatically obtains the meta tags in your assets and adds them to your domains. You do not need to take any action to complete the domain verification during the entire process.
Note: If you have already provided the meta tags before, we won’t add them for you again. |
Manual Verification
You can also complete the addition and verification of meta tags in the system by yourself. Follow the steps below:
- In Meta’s Business Setting, go to Domains in the Brand Safety and Suitability section.
- Select the domain of your store, or click Add to add a new domain. Follow the instructions and click Add to add the domain.
- Copy the meta tag.
- Go to your SHOPLINE admin panel, and in the left sidebar, click Channels > Facebook.
- In the Facebook channel, click the Domain verification section or Domain verification > Setup.
- Click the Add button if you haven’t provided the meta tag, or click the pencil icon in the list if there is already one.
- Paste the meta tag you copied in the input box and click Save.
- Click the Verify button. If your domain verification fails, make sure you enter the correct meta tag.
