Creating and Configuring Markets
Once you have a clear understanding of SHOPLINE Markets, you can start creating markets to expand your global reach and tailor your store experience for different countries or regions.
This guide walks you through how to create new markets and introduces the key settings you can configure, such as domains, languages, pricing, shipping, and payments, helping you to deliver a localized shopping experience that aligns with your business goals.
Creating Additional Markets
After understanding how Markets can support your global strategy and the configuration logic behind your primary market, you can now start creating additional markets based on your business needs. Follow these steps:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Markets and click Create a market.
- Enter the Market name and click Add country/region.
- In the pop-up window, select one or more countries/regions to add to this market, then click Complete.
- Click Create to complete the market creation.
The newly created markets will be displayed on the homepage of the Markets module.
Market Settings Overview
Once an additional market is created, you need to further configure the settings to ensure a smooth localized experience. Select a market from the homepage of Markets and set up the following.
1. Domain and Language
In this section, set up the domain to decide how customers in this market access your storefront. You can also customize which languages are available for the market.

2. Products and Pricing
This section allows you to select specific products for this market and provides robust tools to adjust your pricing strategies to reflect local market conditions, including currency conversions and price adjustments.

3. Inventory (Limited Access)
Decide which inventory locations will be used to fulfill orders for this market. By setting specific fulfillment locations, you can reduce shipping times and avoid high delivery costs.

4. Shipping
In this section, manage shipping methods supporting the countries or regions included in this market. This ensures that customers in each location can receive their orders using appropriate delivery options.
By default, the available shipping methods for each country/region are automatically assigned based on your settings in the Settings > Shipping and delivery section. You can click on Manage to make adjustments as needed.

5. Payments
In this section, you can determine whether customers pay in the store's currency or in the local currency.
The available payment methods for the market are based on your settings in Settings > Payments. This section only allows you to choose the currency to charge your customers at checkout. To modify your store payment settings, click View payment settings in the upper-right corner.
