Preparing Your WeChat Official Account Message Templates
Once you have connected WeChat Official Account to Message Center, you can send automatic notifications to customers more efficiently using the message templates you configured in your WeChat admin. In this article, learn how to configure message templates for your WeChat Official Account. Then connect them to Message Center so that you can begin sending notifications.

Configuring a New Message Template
- Log in to WeChat Official Accounts Platform and go to your WeChat Official Account admin panel.
- From the left sidebar, click + New Features.
- Scroll down to the Business Development section and click Details next to Template Messages. If the Template Messages feature is not enabled, follow WeChat’s instructions to apply for this feature.
- Click View Functions.
- Click Add from Categorized Template Library. If you haven’t yet set categories or want to change them, go to Settings and Development > Account info > Service Category to update the categories.
- Choose the desired message template and click Details to enter the message editor.
- Edit the template to suit your needs and click Add to create the template.
- If you cannot find the desired template in the library, click Add templates to the Categorized Template Library to create a new template. Once created, you will need to wait for WeChat's approval before using the new template.

Finding the Template ID
On the Template Messages page of WeChat Official Accounts Platform, find the template you need and copy its Template ID, which will be used to establish connection to Message Center.
