Setting Up Exclusive Products and Discounts for Your App

Apps often have better conversion rates than mobile websites, so offering incentives can engage customers and boost sales through this channel. In this article, we’ll show you how to offer app-exclusive discounts and launch products or collections first or exclusively on your app.

Setting up App-exclusive Discounts

Discounts are managed in the Discounts module of your SHOPLINE admin panel. You can specify the applicable channels for each discount. Follow the steps below to set up a discount exclusively for your app.

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Discounts and click Create a discount in the upper right corner.
2. Select a discount category based on your needs. Learn more about available discount categories.
   
3. Click Manage in the Available channels.
4. In the pop-up window, ensure to select only the Shopper App - Mobile App Builder channel. Click Complete.
   
5. Complete all the other configurations. Learn how to set up each discount category.
6. Once finished, click Add.

Now, your customers can apply this discount at checkout.

Launching Products on the App

You can schedule the launch time of products for different sales channels. Follow the steps below to make a product first launch on the app.

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Products and click Add product in the upper right corner.
   
2. In the Product settings block on the right, click Manage next to Sales channels.
3. In the pop-up window, select the sales channels your product is available in. Ensure the Shopper App - Mobile App Builder channel is selected. Click Complete.
   
4. Click Set launch time next to Shopper App - Mobile App Builder.
5. In the pop-up window, specify desired launch time for the product. Click Change. To make the product offered exclusively on your app, ensure the launch time is earlier than that of the other channels.
   
6. Complete all the other configurations. Learn how to set up product details.
7. Once finished, click Add. 

Launching Product Collections on the App

You can make a product collection offered exclusively on your app and schedule the launch time. Follow the steps below.

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Products > Collections and click Add collection in the upper right corner.
   
2. Click Manage next to Sales channels.
3. In the pop-up window, select only the Shopper App - Mobile App Builder sales channel for your collection and click Complete.
   
4. Complete all the other configurations. Learn how to set up collection details.
5. (Optional) Go to Shopper App and set up the launch time for the collection.
6. Once finished, click Add.
