Getting Started with Payment Setup on SHOPLINE
SHOPLINE supports various payment methods, including SHOPLINE Payments, credit or debit cards, other payment methods, and custom payment methods. During checkout, customers can select any method you've activated in your SHOPLINE admin panel.
This article provides an overview of the available payment methods, helping you choose the best options for your store.
Important: All payment methods supported by SHOPLINE rely on third-party service providers to process transactions. These providers may charge additional fees and impose terms and policies regarding the types of products you can sell. When setting up payment methods, we recommend consulting the service providers to fully understand their policies and fees. |
Where to Configure Payment Methods
To set up and activate your preferred payment methods:
- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Payments.
- Select a payment method from the available options and configure the settings to match your business needs.
Understanding the Available Payment Methods
When setting up payments for your store, it's important to choose methods that suit both your business needs and your customers' preferences. Below is an overview of the available options:
SHOPLINE Payments
SHOPLINE Payments offers an integrated, all-in-one solution to streamline your checkout process. It eliminates the need to set up separate third-party payment providers and merchant accounts. For more information, refer to the "SHOPLINE Payments" section of our Help Center.
Credit or Debit Cards
This option enables customers to pay using their credit or debit cards. Please note that only one card payment service provider can be configured for a store at any given time. For setup instructions, refer to "Setting Up Credit and Debit Card Payments."
Other Payment Methods
Other Payment Methods typically cover local payments, bank transfers, and other region-specific payment types. You can enable multiple local payment methods for the same store simultaneously. For more information, refer to "Setting up Other Payment Methods."
Custom Payment Methods
Custom Payment Methods are used to process payments outside of your online store. If a customer chooses this method, you must manually confirm and approve the order before proceeding with shipment. For setup details, refer to "Setting up Custom Payment Methods."
Note: When selecting a payment service provider, be sure to consider your business's operating country/region and your customers' locations. Additionally, research the payment gateways available in your region and the currencies they support. |
