Excluding Specific Products from Discount Settings
You can refine your pricing strategies by excluding specific products in discount settings. This feature helps protect profit margins on high-cost or limited-stock items, promote slow-moving or seasonal products, and target promotions to the right products for maximum impact.

Applicable Discount Types and Exclusion Rules
The product exclusion feature is available in the settings for both automatic discounts and discount codes, but the available exclusion options differ by discount type. For order discounts, which apply to all items in an order, you can exclude product categories, specific products, or individual SKUs. For product discounts, exclusions are limited to the selected product categories, from which you can exclude specific products or individual SKUs.

Note: For Buy X get Y discounts, the excluded products / SKUs apply to both the "X" and "Y" items. |
Steps to Exclude Products from Discounts
To exclude specific items from your discounts, follow these steps:

- From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Discounts. Click Create a discount to set up a new campaign or select an existing campaign to edit.
- On the discount settings page, complete or update the required campaign details. If your settings meet the criteria for product exclusions, the Exclude specific products section will appear.
- Toggle Enable product exclusion to display the available exclusion options. Choose the desired product types for exclusion, then click Add excluded collections or Add excluded products.
Note: If you select all SKUs of a product, any future SKUs added to that product will not be automatically included in the exclusion list. They must be added manually. - In the pop-up window, select the specific product categories, products, or SKUs to exclude from the discount and click Select.
- Review your settings and click Add or Update to apply the changes.
