Troubleshooting Facebook Integration Issues


Connecting your SHOPLINE store to social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram unlocks powerful tools for promotion and customer interaction. While you might encounter some common issues along the way, this guide helps you address them and navigate the connection process smoothly.

Ensure Full Permissions for Facebook Connection

The connection to Facebook might fail if your personal account doesn't have full control of the fanpage. Follow these steps to configure permissions:  

  1. Click https://business.facebook.com/settings to go to Facebook Business Settings.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select the desired business platform.

  3. Go to the Accounts tab, click Pages, and select your business page.

  4. Select the People tab, click on the more option icon (down arrow).

  5. Enable Everything for Full control permission and click Save.



Connect a Unique Facebook Page to Your Store

One Facebook page can only be connected to one SHOPLINE store at a time. If the page you want to connect has already been linked to another store, you'll need to unbind it first. Here's how to unbind the existing store:

  1. Log in to Facebook, click the profile picture in the upper right corner, and select Settings & privacy.

  2. Click Settings to enter the settings page.

  3. In the left-side navigation panel, click Business Integrations.

  4. Find Messenger by SHOPLINE (US) and click Remove.

  5. In the confirmation pop-up, click Remove to unbind the Facebook fanpage from the store.



Manage Multiple Pages with the Same Admin Account

SHOPLINE allows you to connect multiple fanpages to the same store. However, please ensure that all the pages you want to connect are owned by the same Facebook personal account.
