Adding a Chat Widget to Your Store App
Shopper App integrates with the Message Center in your SHOPLINE admin panel, allowing the chat widget configured in the Message Center to appear on the My Account page in your app. This enables customers to communicate with you directly within your store app, enhancing customer service and potentially increasing conversion rates.
Note: Currently, Shopper App supports only the chat widget feature from the Message Center. For details on other Message Center features, refer to the Message Center Overview guide. |
Step-by-Step Integration Guide
Before integrating the chat widget into your app, you must first enable the Chat widget feature in your admin panel. Follow these steps to complete the integration:
Enabling the Chat Widget in the Message Center
- In your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Channels > Messages.

Under Customize settings to create a tailored customer experience, find Chat assistant and click Go to settings.

In the Chat widget section, click Social channels and enable Instant messages.

Open your theme editor by navigating to Online Store > Design and clicking the Design button in the Current theme section.

In the theme editor, go to the App embeds section, enable the Chat widget app, and click Save.
Activating the Chat Widget in the Shopper App

Open the Shopper App design editor by navigating to Channels > Shopper App > App Design and clicking Design.

From the dropdown menu at the top, select My account and enable the Message feature. Customize the title and upload an icon as needed.

Click Save in the upper-right corner to apply your settings.
