Size Chart: Advanced Settings for Multilanguage, Chart Syncing & Size Collection
The Size Chart app offers advanced settings to streamline management and enhance chart effectiveness. This guide covers how to set up multi-language support for accurate chart display, enable customer size data collection features, synchronize charts across multiple stores for efficient creation, and configure global settings for your charts.
Global Settings for Your Charts
Configure global settings for your size charts by following these steps:
-
In the Size Chart app, click More features in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
-
In the pop-up window, configure the following:
-
-
Dynamic size charts: This feature displays specific size details (e.g., length, width, and height) when customers click or hover over a size option. Enable this feature for mobile or desktop devices. Please note that the Hover to display option is only available on desktop devices.
-
Size chart settings: To quickly synchronize size charts to other stores or share size information with a partner, set a password (at least 8 characters, letters or digits) and share it along with your store domain. The designated store can then copy your chart information.
Note: You can find your store domain in your SHOPLINE store URL, typically formatted as {store-name}.myshopline.com, without the https:// prefix.
-
Display page settings: Define the pages where the size chart will appear, including Product-related pages, Other store pages, and the Add to Cart Button popup (Mobile).
-
-
Click Complete to save your settings.
Synchronizing Size Charts
To synchronize a size chart from one store to another, follow these steps:
-
On the homepage of your Size Chart app, click More features in the upper-right corner and select Sync size charts.
-
In the pop-up window, enter the store domain and password copied from the source store. For instructions on retrieving the store domain and password, refer to the Size chart settings section in "Global Settings for Your Charts."
-
Check Size chart synchronization condition if you want to duplicate the display settings in the storefront.
-
Click Sync to complete the synchronization.
Configuring Multilanguages for the Size Chart
When selling products in markets with different languages, you may need to translate the size chart information into the target languages. This section will guide you through setting up multilingual translations for size chart text and configuring the multi-language display of product specifications.
Translating Size Chart Display Text
You can set up multilingual text for Size Chart displayed on the product details page using one of the following two methods:

In the pop-up window, configure the export settings, enter the designated email address, and click Export.
-
Open the downloaded file, search for Size Chart in the Default content column, and enter the corresponding translations in the Translated content column.
-
Save the file and import it through the same entry point as the export interface.
Method 2: Use the Multi-Language Translation App
-
Install the Multi-Language Translator app.

In the Resource list, find Store meta fields under Online store and click Translate.
-
Select the target language from the dropdown in the upper-right corner.

to save your settings. Repeat these steps for additional languages as needed.
Configuring Multi-language Product Specifications in the Size Chart App
To ensure the accurate display of multilingual size charts, you must synchronize the specification translations between your product data and the Size Chart app. After translating your product size specifications using the Multi-Language Translator app or by exporting and editing files, manually input the corresponding translations into the Size Chart app. This allows the app to retrieve and display the correct language-specific size information. Follow these steps to manually configure multi-language specification settings in the app:
-
In the Size Chart app, click More features and select Multilanguage Settings.
-
Click + Add Language to select a target language.
-
Click + in the Variant Attributes column to choose the required attributes.
-
Enter the corresponding translations in the table.
-
Click Update to save your settings.
Collecting and Exporting Customer Size Data
Enhance customer service by proactively collecting size data when customers cannot find a suitable fit from the available options. This improves the shopping experience and helps refine your sizing strategy to better meet your target audience’s needs. Follow these steps to configure and customize the size collection form:
-
In the Size Chart app, click More features and select Collect customer sizes.
-
In the upper-right corner, click Custom size collection.
-
On the settings page, configure the following options in the left panel:

-
Button text: Edit the copy text for the custom size button.
-
Customer information fields: Add the fields needed to collect customer information and customize the field titles and placeholders to suit your store’s needs. You can choose from three types of fields: Buyer name, Buyer email, and Custom content.
-
-
-
-
Button and prompt text: Edit the text for the form title, notes, submit button, and cancel button.
-
-
Preview your settings in the right panel. You can switch between desktop and mobile views. Once satisfied, click Update to save your settings.
-
Return to the Buyer size info page, and enable the feature by toggling the switch in the upper-right corner.
| Note: You can use the Multi-Language Translator app to configure multilingual copy settings. Use the key in the top-right corner of each field to quickly locate and update the corresponding field within the app. For detailed instructions, refer to this Help Center guide. |
Once enabled, a size collection prompt will appear on relevant product pages. Customers can click Not your size? Tell me your size to submit their measurements and contact information.
Exporting the Data
All submitted data will appear on the Buyer size info page of your app. You can export and download it for record-keeping, analysis, or to refine your sizing strategy:
-
On the Buyer size info page, click Export.
-
In the pop-up window, select the date range, present field items, and custom field items to include in your report, then click Export.
The generated report will be downloaded to your device. Use it to analyze customer data effectively and adjust your product offerings or sizing strategy accordingly.
