Enabling Easyship Shipping Services at Checkout
SHOPLINE has partnered with Easyship, a comprehensive logistics platform, to enhance your store's shipping capabilities. This integration provides your customers with convenient shipping options and real-time shipping rate calculations directly at checkout.
Once setup is complete, Easyship will automatically calculate estimated shipping fees based on the shipping and delivery addresses, as well as your product's dimensions and weight. The available shipping services and corresponding costs will then be displayed to customers during checkout, ensuring transparency and flexibility in their purchase experience.
Note: To protect your profit margins, SHOPLINE recommends having customers cover the shipping fees. |
Activating the "Shipping at Checkout" Feature in Easyship
To enable Easyship's shipping services at checkout, you first need to activate the Shipping at Checkout feature in your Easyship account.
Where to Activate the Feature
- Log in to your Easyship account.
- Go to Connect > Your Store.
- Scroll down to the Shipping at Checkout section and click ACTIVATE to enable real-time shipping rate calculation.
Configuring Shipping Display Rules
To accurately display shipping rates at checkout, you need to complete a few key configurations in Easyship, including setting the fallback product information and customizing the shipping display rules.
Products
In the Products section, set the fallback weight and dimensions for your products. If a product is missing weight or size data, the system will use these fallback values to calculate shipping costs. This ensures a smooth checkout experience for your customers.
Shipping Rules
By default, Easyship will show the fastest, most cost-effective, and cheapest delivery options at checkout. If you prefer to prioritize specific couriers instead, you can set up Shipping Rules to customize what to display. Follow these steps:

In the Shipping Rules section, click Add rules.
- Optionally, enter a name for the rule.

In the Shipment Conditions section, select the required criteria and click Save.

Under Actions, choose Prefer specified courier services, then select the courier services you want to prioritize at checkout. Check Only use these couriers, then click Save.

Click Create to add the shipping rule.
Note: If the selected courier services are unavailable for certain products or delivery addresses, it's likely that no shipping options may appear at checkout. To avoid this, ensure your preferred services support all products and destinations. |
Special Configuration Requirements for Easyship
To ensure shipping accuracy and fulfillment efficiency, Easyship requires the following configurations:
Product Listing
All products created in SHOPLINE must be synced to Easyship with complete information, including weight, dimensions, and product collection. Be sure to accurately configure product details in the Easyship admin. For step-by-step guidance, see Adding and Editing Products.
Shipping Boxes
To protect products during delivery, we recommend using appropriate packaging and saving your commonly used box dimensions in Easyship. When an order includes multiple products, Easyship will automatically calculate and assign the most suitable box from your saved options. This configuration helps ensure accurate rate calculation and reliable packaging. For setup instructions, see Saving Shipping Boxes.
Setting Up Shipping Zones and Rates in SHOPLINE
To configure shipping zones and rates in your SHOPLINE admin panel, follow these steps:

From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery > General shipping rates, then click Shipping rate settings.

On the shipping settings page, click Add a shipping zone to define the countries or regions.

After configuring the shipping zone, click Add the shipping rates to customize your shipping fees.
- In the pop-up window:
4.1 Select Use a carrier or third-party app to calculate rates and choose Easyship as the provider.
4.2 Check the shipping services you want to display at checkout.
4.3 Make sure to check Notify customers whenever a new service is ready for use. This helps avoid situations where no shipping options are shown at checkout.
Note: You can also manage shipping visibility in Easyship by setting up Shipping Rules. For example, you can exclude certain couriers or display only specific services. |
4.4 Choose your processing fee type (percentage or fixed amount), and set the corresponding value.
4.5 Click Done to save your configuration.
- Back on the shipping rate settings page, click Update to apply your changes.
