Flow Automation: Triggering Workflows When a Product Status Changes

When a product is activated, deactivated, or archived, the Product Status Changes trigger starts a workflow in Flow Automation. You can use this trigger to automate product tagging, categorization, and other updates, helping to streamline your product management process.

Testing the Workflow

To verify that the workflow is triggered correctly, follow the steps below creating a test item:

1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Products and click Add product to create a test item. (We recommend using a distinctive product title to easily identify the test item later.)
   
   
    
2. After successfully creating the test product, locate and select it from the product list. Use the corresponding buttons to change its status and verify if the trigger is working as expected.

Here’s a real-world example of using the "Product Status Changes" trigger — When a product is activated, deactivated, or archived, the system checks whether the product title contains the keyword "Electronics" and automatically adds the tag [Electronics].
