Using Paid Themes in Your SHOPLINE Store
Paid themes are designed and maintained by third-party developers and are available in the SHOPLINE Theme Shop. Since these developers often have experience serving specific industries, their themes usually incorporate more industry-specific features and provide greater variety in functionality and design. This helps you create a store style that best fits your business needs.
| Note: Paid themes are maintained by external developers. SHOPLINE does not offer refunds for theme purchases. All customizations made during the trial are retained, but the theme can only be published after purchase. |
Exploring and Previewing Paid Themes
Searching Themes in the Theme Shop
To browse available themes, go to Admin Panel > Online Store > Themes > Theme shop. In the Theme shop, you’ll see navigation tabs at the top of the page, such as All themes, Beauty & health, Clothing & fashion, and more. These tabs allow you to explore themes by industry or category. You can click into any theme to see more details, including supported features, and the developer’s name.
| Tip: To identify whether a theme is developed by SHOPLINE or a third-party developer, check the developer name listed on the theme details page. |
Trying a Paid Theme Before Purchase
You can freely preview any paid theme before purchasing. During the trial:
- All UI and theme functionalities are available.
- You can customize settings and test how the theme looks in your SHOPLINE store.
- Changes will be saved even if you haven’t purchased the theme.
| Important: During the trial period, you can customize the theme, but publishing or downloading the theme’s code is not available until after purchase. |

Notes:
|
| Warning: Paid themes are non-refundable. If you have questions about the theme, please contact the third-party developer directly. Their contact information is available on the theme details page. |
Viewing and Managing Purchase Records
After purchasing a paid theme, it will appear in your Theme Library.
To view the payment details, go to Admin Panel > Plan > My bill. The invoice will list the theme fee under the billing type Application.
Publishing Your Paid Theme
To publish a paid theme to your storefront, follow the same steps as applying a SHOPLINE-developed theme. For more information about publishing a theme, please refer to this Help Center guide.
| Note: Any changes made during the trial period will be preserved after publishing. |
Managing Theme Updates
In the Theme library, a prompt will appear when a new version of a theme is available. The way updates are applied depends on the type of theme:
| Theme Type | Update Method | Special Note |
| SHOPLINE-developed themes | Can be updated automatically. | If the code has been customized, the theme becomes your private theme and cannot be updated automatically. |
| Paid themes from third-party developers | Updates are released and maintained by the developer. Apply the new version when prompted in the theme library. | If the code has been customized, the theme becomes your private theme and follows the rules below. |
| Private themes | Cannot be updated automatically or manually. | Contact SHOPLINE to request whitelisting support for version updates. |
Paid Theme Limitations
While paid themes provide extensive customization options, please note the following restrictions:
- Code editing is supported, but downloading the full theme code is not available during the trial period.
- If the theme code has been modified, the paid theme will be categorized as a private theme. To update the theme version, you must contact SHOPLINE to request whitelisting support.
Paid Theme Support & Troubleshooting
Support for paid themes is provided directly by the third-party developer. You can find the developer’s contact information on the theme details page.
If you encounter an issue with a paid theme:
- Contact the third-party developer directly and provide details of the issue.
- Include relevant screenshots and clear steps to reproduce the problem to help expedite resolution.
| Note: If you report a paid theme issue to SHOPLINE, our team will first confirm whether it is related to the system or to the theme itself. Theme-specific issues will be forwarded to the third-party developer. |
