Smart Feed (New): Migrating Product Feeds from Shopify, WooCommerce, and Shoplazza
This guide explains how to migrate your existing product feeds from Shopify, WooCommerce, or Shoplazza to Smart Feed (New), while maintaining consistent product IDs across advertising channels to avoid traffic loss.
Before you start, make sure you’ve completed the preparation steps outlined in Smart Feed (New): Overview and Key Features.
| Note: Smart Feed (New) is currently available only to whitelisted users. If you are interested in using it, please contact SHOPLINE Support to request access for your store. |
Before You Begin
Before migrating your product feeds, please ensure the following:
- You have installed the Multi-platform Store Migration App
- Products have been successfully migrated to SHOPLINE
- Product data (including SKU, attributes, etc.) is complete and accurate
Migration Overview
The key to a lossless migration is ensuring that product IDs used in advertising channels remain consistent before and after migration.
Smart Feed will:
- Automatically detect your original platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, Shoplazza)
- Generate matching product IDs based on your previous feed logic
- Validate ID consistency before pushing updates
Migration Process in Different Platforms
Step 1: Install and Configure Migration App
Install the Multi-platform Store Migration App and select the Products module for migration.
Recommended settings:
- Enable Overwrite Update Settings > Products
- Enable Ad Traffic Lossless Migration using Smart Feed (New)
Once enabled, Smart Feed will automatically detect your source platform and guide you through the corresponding setup.
Step 2: Platform-Specific Migration Setup
Shopify Migration
Smart Feed supports common Shopify feed tools, including:
- Google & YouTube channel
- Simprosys Google Shopping Feed plugin
- Other custom feeds
Google Channel (Shopify)
1. Google & YouTube Channel
- Product ID format is fixed: shopify_{primary_country}_spuid_skuid
- Item Group ID = SPU ID
- Ensure your primary market country in Shopify matches SHOPLINE
If multi-market is enabled in Shopify:
- Select Yes in “Enable Multi-market”
- Otherwise select No
| Important: This setting is only used for validation and does NOT create a new multi-market feed. |
Next steps:
- Export product data from Google Merchant Center
- Include the following fields:
- Product ID
- Item group ID
- Feed label
- Countries
- Language
- Upload the TSV file to Smart Feed
The system will validate whether generated IDs match the original feed.
- If matched: proceed
- If not: verify data source
2. Simprosys Plugin
- Supports multiple ID formats (commonly Shopify standard ID)
- Select the correct ID rule based on your setup
- Follow the same export and validation steps as above
3. Other Feed Tools
If using custom feeds:
- Map original product IDs to SHOPLINE SKU IDs manually
- Prepare a CSV file including:
- Original product ID
- SHOPLINE SKU ID
- Feed label / language / countries (if applicable)
Smart Feed will update products using original IDs.
Meta / TikTok / Pinterest / Snapchat (Shopify)
For official Shopify integrations:
- Product ID = Shopify Variant ID
- Multi-market validation is not required
Steps:
- Click Preview
- Search the product ID in the corresponding catalog
- If found: validation passed
- If not: verify feed source
For other tools:
- Upload mapping file (Product ID ↔ SHOPLINE SKU ID)
WooCommerce Migration
WooCommerce supports two common ID types:
- Variant ID
- SKU
1. Variant ID Migration
- Smart Feed automatically maps Variant ID to SHOPLINE SKU
- Verify via Preview (image, title, ID match)
2. SKU Migration
- Requires manual mapping
- Upload CSV with:
- WooCommerce SKU
- SHOPLINE SKU ID
Supported channels:
- Meta
- TikTok
- Snapchat
(All follow the same logic as Google)
Shoplazza Migration
Official XML Feed
- Uses Variant ID as product ID
- Smart Feed automatically maps to SHOPLINE SKU
- Verify in Preview
Custom Feed
- Requires manual mapping file
- Upload CSV with:
- Product ID
- SHOPLINE SKU ID
Supported channels:
- Meta
- TikTok
(All follow the same process)
Step 3: Preview and Validate
Before migration, use Preview to verify:
- Product ID consistency
- Product title and image accuracy
- Matching with original platform
Step 4: Start Feed Migration
Once validation is complete:
- Click Start Feed Migration
- Smart Feed will update product data across channels using original IDs
