Setting Up Blog Publish Status and Order
This article explains how blog publish status and display order work in SHOPLINE. You’ll learn how to control whether a blog post is visible on the storefront and where to manage the order in which blog posts are displayed to customers.
Configuring Blog Publish Status
Each blog post has a publish status that determines when and whether it is visible on the storefront. You can configure the publish status when creating a new blog post or editing an existing one. Follow these steps:
- In your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Online Store > Blog.
-
Click Create a blog to create a new post, or click an existing post to open the editor.
-
Locate the Publish a blog section on the right-hand side, then select one of the following options:
- Publish: The blog post will be published immediately and become visible on the storefront after saving.
- Hide: The blog post will not be visible on the storefront after saving.
- Schedule: You can schedule the blog post to be published at a specific date and time. To cancel a scheduled publication, click Cancel the schedule.
- Click Save to apply the setting.

How Blog Post Order Is Determined on the Storefront
The order in which blog posts appear on the storefront is managed through blog categories, not individual blog posts.
- Blog posts are grouped and displayed based on their assigned categories.
- Posts that belong to the same category are ordered according to the category’s settings.
- Each blog category has its own configuration page where you can manage how related blog posts are displayed.
| Note: The sorting or arrangement of blog posts in the Blog list page is for backend management only and does not affect storefront display order. |
To change the display order of blog posts on the storefront, you must configure the relevant blog category. For step-by-step instructions, see the "Creating and Managing Blog Categories" guide.
Tips for Managing Blog Visibility and Order
- Set blog posts to Hidden while drafting or reviewing content.
- Double-check publish status before promotions or announcements.
- Plan blog display order at the category level, not the post level.
- Review category settings if blog order does not match expectations on the storefront.
