Setting Up Agentic to Sync Products to Meta (Early Access)

Agentic is a SHOPLINE sales channel that syncs your eligible products to Meta. Synced products have the chance to appear for free in product discovery and shopping experiences on Meta AI, Muse, Instagram, and Facebook, where shoppers can find them and visit your online store to buy. This guide explains how to install Agentic, enable product syncing, check your sync status and sales data, and manage the AI channels SHOPLINE syncs to.

Understanding How Agentic Helps Shoppers Discover Your Products

Once Agentic is enabled, SHOPLINE keeps your eligible products synced to Meta. This helps you:

• Keep product information up to date automatically: SHOPLINE continuously syncs product details, prices, and inventory, so you don't need to update them by hand.
• Reach shoppers in more places: Your products have the chance to be discovered or recommended in supported Meta experiences.
• Bring shoppers to your store: Shoppers can follow product links to your online store, view product details, and complete their purchase.

Where shoppers can find your products: Agentic supports three main shopping experiences on Meta.

• Meta AI: When shoppers describe what they're looking for or upload a photo, your products may appear in Meta AI's recommendations.
• Muse: When shoppers ask Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, to find or compare products, your products may appear in the results it shows them.
• Instagram & Facebook: Your products may appear in discovery features, such as suggestions for similar items, while shoppers browse.

For example, a shopper browsing Instagram sees a linen dress they like and looks for similar items. Your matching dress appears in the suggestions, and the shopper taps through to your online store to buy it.

Product Requirements for Syncing to Meta with Agentic

Only products that meet all of the following requirements are synced to Meta. To help more of your products get discovered, make sure each product:

• Has a product title.
• Has at least one product image.
• Has a price greater than 0. Free products aren't synced.
• Is published to your online store and set to visible.
• Has an accessible product URL.
• Doesn't contain restricted content, such as adult content.

Installing the Agentic Sales Channel

Agentic isn't installed by default. To add it to your store:

1. In the left menu of your SHOPLINE admin, click the + icon next to Channels.
2. Find Agentic in the list of available channels and add it to your store.

3. Once it's added, Agentic appears under Channels in the left menu. Click it to open the Agentic page.

Enabling Agentic and Syncing Your Products to Meta

The first time you open Agentic, you'll see previews of how your products can appear to shoppers. To review the previews and start syncing:

1. On the Agentic page, click the Meta AI or Instagram & Facebook tab to see how products appear in each experience. Use the left and right arrows to move through each step of the preview.
2. Click Turn on and sync products.

3. In the Enable Agentic? dialog, review the details. To read the terms, click Terms of Use or visit SHOPLINE Terms of Use.
4. Click Turn on and sync products to confirm. To go back without enabling, click Cancel.

What happens after you enable Agentic: SHOPLINE starts syncing right away and takes you to the Agentic dashboard.

• SHOPLINE automatically manages your Agentic channels and keeps syncing eligible products, prices, and other details to Meta.
• Any AI channels that Agentic supports later are added and synced automatically, so you don't need to set them up again.

Checking Your Agentic Sync Status and Sales Data

The Agentic page shows your sync progress, how many products are synced, and the sales you've received from Meta.

Understanding the Agentic Sync Status Message

A message at the top of the page shows where your sync is:

• Syncing: SHOPLINE is preparing your eligible products and syncing them to Meta. You can leave the page while syncing continues in the background. If you have many products, this can take a while.

• Synced: Your products have been synced to Meta. From now on, SHOPLINE updates product details, prices, inventory, and listing status daily. You can close this message.

Viewing Your Synced Products in Agentic

Under Get more products discovered, you can see how many products have been synced to Meta and when the count was last updated. The count is based on products, not individual variants.

If the count shows 0, either none of your products meet the sync requirements yet, or the sync is still in progress.

Viewing Agentic Sales Data from Meta

The Sales overview section shows how shoppers from Meta are performing in your online store:

• Visitors: The number of shoppers who visited your store from Meta.
• Orders: The number of orders placed by these shoppers.
• Sales: The total sales from these orders.
• Conversion Rate: The percentage of visitors who placed an order.

To change the reporting period, click the date range (default: Last 30 Days) and select the dates you want. Data for today is shown in real time.

Managing AI Channels in Agentic

The Let SHOPLINE manage all channels panel on the right side of the Agentic page lists each AI channel and its status:

• Syncing Products: SHOPLINE is syncing your products to this channel.
• Enabled: Your products are synced and can be discovered on this channel.
• Not Enabled: Product syncing to this channel is turned off.
• Coming Soon: This channel isn't available yet.

Turning SHOPLINE Management On or Off in Agentic

When Let SHOPLINE manage all channels is on, SHOPLINE keeps every supported channel, including Meta, enabled and syncing. When you turn it off, you control each channel yourself.

To turn off SHOPLINE management:

1. Click the toggle next to Let SHOPLINE manage channels to turn it off.
2. A toggle appears next to each available channel, such as Meta. Use these toggles to turn each channel on or off.

Turning Off Product Syncing to Meta in Agentic

To stop syncing your products to Meta, first turn off SHOPLINE management as described above. Then:

1. Click the toggle next to Meta to turn it off.
2. In the Turn Off Meta? dialog, click Turn Off to confirm.

What happens when you turn off Meta: The change applies as soon as you confirm.

• SHOPLINE stops syncing and updating your product information on Meta.
• Your products will no longer take part in product discovery and recommendations on Meta.
• Orders you've already received aren't affected and their data is kept.

Turning Product Syncing to Meta Back On in Agentic

To start syncing to Meta again, do one of the following:

• Let SHOPLINE manage all channels: Turn on Let SHOPLINE manage all channels. Meta is turned on automatically.
• Turn on Meta only: Turn on the toggle next to Meta and leave SHOPLINE management off.

SHOPLINE then starts a new sync, and the status message shows the sync progress again.

Important Notes for Agentic

• Syncing your products gives them the chance to appear on Meta. Meta decides when and where products are shown, so appearance isn't guaranteed.
• Only products that meet the product requirements are synced.
• After the first sync, product information is updated daily. Changes you make in SHOPLINE appear on Meta after the next update.
• The synced product count is based on products, not individual variants.

Frequently Asked Questions About Agentic

Q1: Is Agentic the same as Meta catalog ads?

Q4: How often is my product information updated on Meta?

After the first sync, SHOPLINE updates product details, prices, inventory, and listing status on Meta daily.

Q5: Will turning off Meta affect my existing orders or sales data?

Q6: Why can't I find Agentic in my channel list?

Agentic is currently available to selected merchants only. Contact your SHOPLINE account manager to request access.
