Creating a Review Collection Page for Your Store


A review collection page allows you to select specific, high-quality reviews from your store and display them on a dedicated page or module. This can help potential customers build trust and learn more about your products from real users.

This article guides you through creating a review collection page and adding a review collection component to your existing theme.

Adding a Review Collection Page

Follow these steps to create a review collection page:

  1. From your SHOPLINE admin panel, go to Apps > Product Review. Install the Product Review app if you haven’t already.

  2. Go to Reviews display > Review collections.

  3. Configure the following settings for your review collection page:
    • Turn on the Enable review collection page toggle.
    • Layout Settings: Choose the layout styles you prefer for desktop and mobile.
    • Sorting settings: Decide how you want the reviews to be prioritized on your page.
    • Review source: Select whether to include reviews for All products or Specific products
    • Review Collection Component & Review Collection Page Condition Settings: Choose the types of reviews to be displayed based on your preferences. Note that these conditions follow the "AND" logic.
  1. Add the review collection page to the navigation menu: 

4.1 Locate the Add review collection page to a navigation menu section and click the Add now button next to it.

4.2 In the pop-up window, choose a navigation menu and click Add. The review collection page will be automatically added to the end of the selected menu.

  1. Once finished, click Update in the upper right corner.


Key Points for Setup 

  • You can select up to 1,000 products from the available range of items currently on the shelves.
  • When you select the primary menu, the system will automatically add the review collection page to this menu as its last item, naming it Customer Reviews by default.

  • You can also go to Online Store > Navigation to make adjustments, such as dragging the menu item to a preferred location and renaming it. SHOPLINE advises against modifying the URL to ensure uninterrupted access to the reviews. 
  • When the Enable review collection page toggle is turned off, the page will no longer be displayed on your storefront. If you don't want to include the review collection page in the menu, go to Online Store > Navigation to delete it.
  • If the Product Review app is uninstalled, the review collection page will be automatically removed from the primary menu of your store.


Fixing Errors

  • In case of an error with the review collection page, you can swiftly resolve it by clicking Click to Fix.

  • If a quick fix is not possible, click Click to Fix to navigate to the primary menu and re-add the review collection page. 



Adding the Evaluation Collection Component

With the Review Collection Page enabled, you can add the review collection component to your theme. Follow these steps:

  1. Click the Go to theme editor button next to A "Review Collection Component" can be added via the theme editor.

  2. Choose the preferred page where you want to add the component, then click Add component > Apps > Evaluation collection.

  3. After adding the Evaluation collection component, you can adjust its location and settings. You can preview the changes in real time.

  4. Once you’re satisfied with the adjustments, click Save in the upper right corner to save the changes.
