Member System Plans and Pricing
SHOPLINE's Member System offers a range of subscription plans and pricing options to suit various business needs. This article provides a complete guide to the available plans, billing calculations, relevant policies, and best practices for managing your subscriptions effectively.
Important: Starting April 1, 2025, SHOPLINE will adjust the pricing strategy for the Member System app. Existing subscribers can continue to enjoy their current plan benefits and pricing until their subscription period ends, after which the new pricing will automatically take effect. |
Member System Plan Overview
Member System offers five plans: Lite, Starter, Growth, Pro, and Custom. These plans are designed to cater to the diverse needs of businesses of all sizes.
When you first install the Member System app, you're automatically enrolled in the free Lite plan, which includes basic features. You can try the Pro plan for free with a 7-day trial to explore its full range of features. If it suits your needs, you can upgrade to Starter, Growth, or Pro at any time to unlock additional advanced features.
For large-scale businesses, SHOPLINE offers tailored Custom plans with personalized solutions. To subscribe or request a quote, contact your SHOPLINE sales representative or the SHOPLINE support team.
Important Note for Existing Users: If you've enabled automatic renewal for your Member System, the new pricing will be automatically applied once your current subscription period ends. To opt out, please manually disable Automatic Renewal under Member System > Billing > Payment method. |
Understanding Member System Billing
Member System billing consists of two primary components: Subscription Fees and Additional Order Fees.
Note: Additional Order Fees were previously referred to as Resource Fees. |
Subscription Fees
The subscription fee is a recurring charge (monthly or annually) based on your selected plan. This fee grants you access to the features and services included in the plan. The relevant fee rules are as follows:
Fee Rule | Description |
Billing Cycle | Plans offer both monthly and annual payment options:
|
Plan Upgrade | You can upgrade your plan at any time before it expires:
|
Overdue Payments | After your paid plan expires, you will have a 7-day grace period.
|
Additional Order Fees
The Growth and Pro plans have monthly order-processing limits. If these limits are exceeded, additional order fees will apply. All orders in your store are included in the calculation, regardless of their source or channel. This includes manually created or imported orders, orders migrated via store migration or open API, and orders placed directly by customers.
Notes:
|
Fee Rule | Description |
Charging Rules |
If the order volume exceeds the monthly limit, additional order fees will apply based on the plan:
Note: The Lite and Starter plans do not allow exceeding order limits. To continue using the app smoothly, upgrading to a higher plan is recommended. See "Impact When Order Limit is Reached" for details. |
Billing Cycle | The billing cycle defines the period during which excess order fees are calculated and billed:
|
Special Cases |
|
Overdue Payments | If you have unpaid additional order fees, you will not be able to access the Member System or subscribe to a new plan. You must clear all outstanding fees before you can continue to use the app. |
Comparison of Billing Cycles
The billing cycles for subscription fees and additional order fees follow different rules and logic. The table below compares the key differences:
Fee Type | Subscription Fees | Additional Order Fees |
Start Time | Begins upon successful payment of the subscription. | If no previous fee bill exists, the cycle starts from the first order. If a previous fee bill exists, it starts from the end of the last billing cycle. |
End Time | Ends after 30 calendar days (monthly plan) or 365 calendar days (annual plan). | Ends when the order limit is exceeded or when the subscription period ends, whichever comes first. |
Billing Basis | Fixed subscription fee based on the selected plan. | Additional charges apply for exceeding the order limit, calculated based on the plan's pricing rules. |
Billing Cycle | Fixed billing period. | Adjusts dynamically based on order volume and plan limits. |
Example Calculations
Example 1: Orders Remain within Limit
Scenario | You are on the monthly Growth plan and have generated 2,499 orders in a given month.
Additional Order Fee Calculation |
|
|
Total Bill | Your monthly bill = Growth plan subscription fee only. |
Example 2: Orders Exceed Plan Limit
Scenario | You are on the monthly Growth plan and have generated 2,501 orders in a given month.
Additional Order Fee Calculation |
|
|
Total Bill | Your monthly bill = Growth plan subscription fee + $10 additional order fee. |
Impact When Order Limit is Exceeded
The impact of exceeding the order limit varies by plan, as detailed below:
Lite and Starter Plans
When the order limit is exceeded, the following impacts will take place:
- The Member System app will display a notification indicating that the order limit has been exceeded.
- Existing configurations will continue to function normally until the end of the subscription period.
- Before the subscription period ends, you can only enable or disable features; configuration adjustments are not allowed.
Growth and Pro Plans
When the order limit is exceeded, the following effects will take place:
- The Member System will display a notification indicating that the order limit has been exceeded.
- Existing configurations will continue to function normally until the end of the subscription period.
- Before the subscription period ends, you can freely adjust settings; however, any new bills generated during this time will incur additional charges.
- After the subscription period ends, features specific to the plan will be disabled, and an additional order fee bill will be generated. If the bill remains unpaid, you will be unable to access the app or subscribe to new plans.
Managing Subscriptions and Billing
To ensure the smooth operation of the Member System app, it is important to manage your subscriptions and billing promptly. You can view all your bills, including subscription fees and additional order fees, in the Billing section.
