Setting Up TikTok Multi-Warehouse Store in Multichannel Connect
TikTok Shop lets merchants stock and fulfill orders from multiple warehouses. If your TikTok Shop has multiple sales warehouses set up, you need to map each warehouse to a SHOPLINE location in Multichannel Connect (MCC) so that inventory sync and order-import inventory deduction are carried out accurately per warehouse.
This article covers where TikTok's multi-warehouse inventory mode is available, how to set up warehouse mapping, and the changes to product inventory, inventory sync, product migration and listing, and order processing after multi-warehouse mode is turned on.
Prerequisites for Setting Up Multi-Warehouse Inventory Mode for TikTok Shop
Before you begin, please make sure you are aware of the following:
- Confirm whether your store's region supports this feature. TikTok's multi-warehouse inventory mode is currently available in Singapore (SG), the United States (US), and Malaysia (MY); partially supported in the United Kingdom (UK); and not yet supported in Japan (JP).
- You have set up multiple sales warehouses in TikTok Seller Center and allocated your product inventory across them.
- Your store must have completed TikTok authorization. For details, please refer to "How to Authorize Your TikTok Shop Store?"
| Note: Once you manually switch on multi-warehouse mode for a store, you can't revert to single-warehouse mode. Confirm that all your warehouse information is accurate before turning it on. |
Mapping Your Warehouses to SHOPLINE Locations
If your TikTok Shop has multiple sales warehouses, you need to map each warehouse to a SHOPLINE location before inventory sync and order processing can be carried out accurately per warehouse. Follow these steps to complete the setup:
- Go to Warehouse Settings to view a list of your authorized TikTok stores. Stores default to single-warehouse mode.
-
If you have multiple sales warehouses set up in TikTok Seller Center, an Enable Multi-Warehouse button appears next to the store. Click it to turn on multi-warehouse mode.
Important: After you turn on multi-warehouse mode, the system automatically carries out inventory sync and inventory deduction based on your warehouse mapping. This action can't be reversed once switched on, so please proceed carefully. - After confirming, select a corresponding SHOPLINE location for each enabled warehouse. Each TikTok warehouse can only be mapped to one SHOPLINE location, and the same SHOPLINE location can't be selected for more than one warehouse.

Inventory Sync Rule Settings Under Multi-Warehouse Mode
Switching on multi-warehouse mode only changes how the system determines the SHOPLINE location used for inventory sync and deduction. The Inventory Location you select on the Setting Rules page only applies to stores in single-warehouse mode. For stores in multi-warehouse mode, inventory sync is carried out by default according to the warehouse mapping you complete on the Warehouse Settings page.
Other inventory sync rules (such as the inventory buffer strategy or the quantity limit per SKU) are not affected by multi-warehouse mode and continue to use their existing settings. For details, please refer to "Enabling Shared Inventory."
Order Inventory Deduction Rules Under Multi-Warehouse Mode
If you want inventory to be deducted when an order is imported into SHOPLINE, turning on multi-warehouse mode changes how that deduction works:
- Single-warehouse stores: Your existing inventory deduction settings stay the same. You can still choose Deduct Inventory by Fulfillment Priority or Deduct Inventory from a Specified Location.
-
Multi-warehouse stores: These settings no longer apply. Based on the warehouse information TikTok returns for the order, the system automatically deducts inventory from the SHOPLINE location mapped to that warehouse on the Warehouse Settings page.
Note: If the TikTok warehouse for an order hasn't been mapped to a location, the order fails to import and shows the message "Not linked to a SHOPLINE location." Click Map Now to go to Warehouse Settings, complete the mapping, and re-import the order. - Canceling orders: Not affected by multi-warehouse mode. The system still follows your order settings to decide whether to return inventory, without needing to specify a warehouse.
- Order refunds: Inventory is returned to the SHOPLINE location it was actually deducted from when the order was created, regardless of any later changes to warehouse mapping.
Viewing and Editing Products and Inventory Under Multi-Warehouse Mode
Inventory Display on the Channel Product List and Detail Pages
- On the TikTok channel product list page, the Inventory column shows the combined stock across all of the product's warehouses.
- On the channel product detail page, if a product's inventory is spread across multiple warehouses, editing the SKU inventory lists all associated warehouses so you can update the stock quantity for each one individually.
Inventory Display on the Inventory Management Page
For channels using multi-warehouse mode, a SKU's channel inventory shows the total available stock, which you can expand to view the available stock for each warehouse.
- When inventory sync is off: Channel inventory can be edited, using the same per-warehouse method as the product detail page.
- When inventory sync is on: Channel inventory can't be edited — the Edit icon is grayed out. Click the total available stock to view how it's distributed across warehouses.
Impact of Multi-Warehouse Mode on Product Migration and Listing
The warehouse mapping rules under multi-warehouse mode don't yet apply to Product Migration or product listing.
- Product Migration: If a product's TikTok SKU inventory is spread across multiple warehouses, migration combines the total inventory (the sum across all warehouses) into a single SHOPLINE location that you specify. Splitting inventory by warehouse isn't supported yet.
- Product listing: When you create a channel product draft from SHOPLINE, the system syncs the product's total available stock to TikTok's default warehouse. To allocate inventory across multiple warehouses, you'll currently need to do this in TikTok Seller Center.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can I switch back to single-warehouse mode after turning on multi-warehouse mode?
No. Once multi-warehouse mode is turned on, you can't revert to single-warehouse mode, so proceed carefully.
Q2: What happens if a TikTok warehouse isn't mapped to any SHOPLINE location?
Inventory sync and order import will both fail for that warehouse. A failed order import shows the message "Not linked to a SHOPLINE location." Go to the Warehouse Settings page to complete the mapping, then re-import the order.
Q3: My TikTok Shop has multiple warehouses, but I only use some of them. Do I need to map every warehouse?
No. You can set any warehouse you aren't using to Vacation Mode in TikTok Seller Center — there's no need to map it to a SHOPLINE location.
Q4: The TikTok warehouse linked to a past order is no longer active. What should I do?
As long as that warehouse is mapped to a SHOPLINE location, past orders can still be imported normally.
Q5: After turning on multi-warehouse mode, which location does refunded inventory return to?
Inventory is returned to the location it was actually deducted from when the order was created, regardless of any later changes to warehouse mapping.
Q6: Does canceling an order get affected by multi-warehouse mode?
No. The system still follows your order settings to decide whether to return inventory, without needing to specify a warehouse.
