Enabling Compatibility Printing for POS Receipts
Compatibility Mode provides a general fallback solution intended to resolve issues like print garbling or formatting errors that may occur when merchants use non-recommended printers.
Once this setting is enabled, the system will force all receipt printing tasks to be sent to the printer in an Image Format (Image Printing), which significantly improves compatibility across various device models.

How to Enable Compatibility Printing for Receipts
This setting is located within the individual register’s printing configuration and is disabled by default:
-
On the SHOPLINE POS screen, expand the left menu, go to Setting > Register settings under the Store section, and then tap on POS terminal settings.
-
From the POS terminal settings page, tap on Print settings.
-
Under Print settings, enable the option Print in compatibility mode (This option is disabled by default).
Important Notes
- Printing Method: When enabled, all receipts printed by this register will use the image printing method.
- Speed Impact: Because compatibility mode uses image printing, the print speed may be slightly slower.
